Ford and Hyundai of Kirkland are donating $15,000 to non-profit charities

Ford of Kirkland and Hyundai of Kirkland are giving back to the community. They want to thank you for making them the #1 Volume Ford Dealer in Washington and the #1 Volume Hyundai Dealer in Washington. The teams at Ford and Hyundai of Kirkland are having a challenge to benefit Hopelink or The Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington. One of these two charities will receive up to $ 15,000.

Here is how the challenge works. The store that sells the most vehicles combined with the public votes from December 1^st to January 3^rd will win. The check will be presented to the winner at Ford Hyundai of Kirkland’s employee celebration at the end of January.

Hyundai of Kirkland has teamed up with The Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington this organization provides health and life skills, character and leadership development, education and career development, sports, fitness and recreation to 141,774 kids annually and on average over 10,000 a day with 124 clubs in Washington State.

They also have programs that promote the development of young people by instilling a sense of competence, a sense of usefulness and a sense of belonging. When this strategy is fully implemented, self-esteem is enhanced and an environment is created which helps boys & girls achieve their full potential. Ford of Kirkland’s charity is Hopelink which provides vital services and programs to more than 50,000 families, children, seniors and people with disabilities each year.

The list of programs and services include food, housing, transportation to medical and other critical appointments. They assist families paying their heating bills, improving literacy skills, building life and job-readiness skills.

During the holiday season Hopelink provides “gift rooms” in these rooms’ clients select gifts specifically for each of their children or grandchildren. Last year alone this program helped more than 4,500 kids experience the joys of the holidays.
